Our Initiatives
Little Free Food Pantry
Since its beginning of operation on December 5th, 2021, the Little Free Food Pantry has become one of the most patronized in the city. The purpose of the pantry is to serve the food insecure in our community; it is an outreach that is not limited to just our congregation. The entire community is encouraged to engage in keeping the pantry stocked.
Located behind the church, the Little Free Food Pantry is a small, free-standing structure which is stocked with non-perishable goods a few times per week. To use the food pantry, simply walk or drive up, open the cabinet doors, and take what you need.

United Way and Denton County both offer additional resources to help members of our community. Click the hyperlinks above to learn more.

Collections
We regularly participate in collecting food and items to help those in need. Whether it’s our annual Souper Bowl of Caring collection to help the students of Denton Christian Preschool, the twice yearly collection of items for Our Daily Bread, backpacks for Interfaith Ministries and Denton Christian Preschool, or any number of causes, we often have a collection station set up in the narthex.

Advent Devotional
Join us this Advent with Timothy Keller’s “Hidden Christmas: The Surprising Truth Behind the Birth of Christ.” Copies are available in the Narthex. We request a donation of $7.00 to help offset the cost.

Organizations We Support
Our Daily Bread feeds, shelters, and cares for the homeless and at-risk in our community while maintaining the dignity of their guests and offering opportunities for a new start.

Denton Community Food Center
provides food and other essential household products to families in need.

Denton Christian Preschool is housed in our church and helps prepare 3 and 4 year-olds in need of a good start in kindergarten.

Interfaith Ministries provides emergency assistance to the vulnerable in our community and advocates for those in need of basic resources. The organization provides vital services including utility assistance, diapers and wipes, hygiene supplies, transportation assistance, prescription assistance (limited) and referrals.

Direction 61:3 walks alongside older foster and aged out youth to provide a network of support as they transition to become vibrantly independent young adults. The goal is for youth (ages 14-24) to discover God’s specific purpose and direction for their lives while being fully supported in their resident and non-resident programs.
